Hey there, I'm Austen and I hail from the Windy City of Chicago, though I've been a student at Wellesley College in Massachusetts for the past two years. Currently, I'm embarking on my semester abroad in Leeds, UK (thus the creation of this very blog!).
I grew up in one of the greatest food cities in the US, so, naturally, I love to eat, and I'm quite a fan of literature and the arts (in fact, I'm majoring in Comparative Literature). So, needless to say, I'm looking forward to experiencing English culture, literature, and eating delicious things all across Europe.
When I'm not reading, or eating, I like to write and take photos and have adventures, so I figured that having a travel blog would be the perfect way for me to catalog my escapades and keep my friends and family updated (you know who you are guys). And yes, the name of my blog is a reference to the Mary-Kate and Ashley movie "Winning London", if you were wondering.
Anyways, I'm excited and nervous about my first solo international trip! It's a brave new world out there, and I hope you'll follow along while I encounter it!
